Couple Beaten and Tased on their Night Out

Copism: The Unilateral Danger

At present there is a lot of unrest going on in the United States concerning racism and racist cops who kill. Copism refers to the many cops out there who are equal opportunity killers. They will kill you if you are white, black or yellow. And will do so if you are young, old male or female and they will kill your dog, too! These cops will kill you just as they were trained to do. They will shoot you again and again and again until you are deader than dead, then deliver the final kill shot after your dead body twitches. Doesn’t matter whether you were armed or unarmed. What matters is if the cop feared for his life. Then quite often they will stand around and talk about it as your dead body lies there bleeding out, with no assistance rendered. Of course they don’t all do this … but some do!

We will often see the killer receiving affectionate pats to the shoulder from his buddies… It’s okay buddy, you done it by the book. Once they have departed the killing scene, the blood and gore is generally left for someone else to come along and clean up. This may seem harsh but the proof is in the video. We here at #DUICopAbuse would challenge anyone to attempt to count the number of videos on YouTube that depict this very scene. This sort of thing routinely happens all across this nation. And these are only the ones that are recorded in the light of day.

Late at night is a whole different scenario and that is when the DUI dangers would come into play. But that is for other articles. Now, this article was prompted by police shootings and a particular study that was done in Portland Oregon by The Oregonian. So, the paper’s reporters took a look back almost 20 years beginning with the shooting of Kendra James. She was the first of 40 Portland shootings stretching to the present. We can see that the police shot all different kinds and colors of people. They summarize their work on the Oregonian’s Beat Check podcast. You can hear it in its entirety HERE.

Unless some have been living in a tent, most everyone in the nation is aware of the goings-on in Portland Oregon for the last two/three months. What most people don’t know however, is all of the cop abuse events that have led up to this point in time where rioting in the streets is occurring continuously. Without going into detail we can tell you that there were 65 cops who were involved in these shootings and received long, paid vacations. Not a single one was indicted. The two shooters that were actually fired were later reinstated with full benefits through arbitration. Now, we should mention that this study only covered cops who killed by shooting. It did not include the others who were beaten and strangled to death. Killing the mentally ill became a bit of a specialty – so much so, the federal government eventually stepped in.

The Portland Police bureau was called out by the Fed and instructed to clean up their act. But then, that would be another story. The PPB didn’t do a very good job of it. As a result, they were eventually sued by the Fed! Yes, Portland cops have quite the checkered past going all the way back to the possum incident which in itself was quite the story!

The upshot of this study however, is that many questions appear to be left unanswered. Many of these shootings appear to be in need of more thorough and forthright investigations. Many complaints and lawsuits sprang forth. A few resulted in big settlements – others were not even allowed by Juries.

What with the thorough investigation that was done by The Oregonian and all, we find it curiously and rather troublingly odd concerning a certain omission. It seems that The Oregonian makes no mention of what some might consider the 41st police shooting in Portland. Well, maybe because the shooting was not done by a Portland cop, so technically … Actually the shooter was James Doyle, a Gresham cop. This would have been one of many cops who have been routinely called in from outlying agencies during the rioting and unrest in Portland.

On a Sunday night at the end of May, while all the rioting was going on in downtown Portland, some kind of domestic disturbance was taking place on the east side. Once it was all said and done, Israel Berry sat shot to death in his car. The story was covered by some reporters. There seem to be some serious questions … then it was gone.

The Oregonian covered it HERE. Now, we don’t know about everybody else in the town, but it seems rather odd that a story like this dies during the middle of rioting in town over the same subject … cops shooting people. Well, Israel Berry was a white guy. So maybe that had something to do with it?

Now we know that all Portland cops do not carry body cams … because they cannot afford them. But we do happen to know that all Gresham cops have received body cams and are mandated to have them running. So, wouldn’t one think that it is about high time that one of these Portland news agencies was to get ahold of that?
